I'm glad to know this! I just finished SIDing my first quilt and struggled with it big time. I haven't been able to buy a walking foot yet but I want to. I'm glad to know there is hope! ;)
don't know what kind of machine you have but you can get a generic walking foot for something between $12 - $25. My first one was $25 and that wasat least 15 years ago. Still working. Works on my Brother and vintage Singer.
