It just moved my house, 50 miles from center here. Nothing fell, just reminded me of the old days when they happened at any time in Calif. I sure miss my one dog now, he used to start barking 3 days before one hit. Alert system - 2 full days of his howling and everyone knew to take any breakable items DOWN and wrap, he was never wrong.
It's so funny you mention this, one of my dogs was extremely upset last night -- snappish, growling and crazy, and he wanted to sleep curled up with me, which never happens unless there's a storm. We couldn't figure it out!
You may have an alert system! Dogs sense things way before we do.
