I double quilt mine - I put the top onto the batting and quilt through the two layers - this is when I do any fancy quilting, then I back with the fleece, attaching that to the other two layers by stitching in the ditch - I use my walking foot, and I never seem to have any stretching problems. Bind as usual to finish off.
