Oh my gosh that sounds just plain rude...especially the word "unprofessional"...Quilting is a hobby for so many of us not a profession. It is a way to relax, commune with ourselves and maybe in our own way commune with a higher power! Many of us "unprofessional" women make quilts with this kind of binding for loved ones, for sick ones, for anyone. Many of us (including me) work and have very busy lives. Quilting is a way to relax! Who cares about how the binding is done? Who cares if this is not perfect...don't put others down if you don't like what they do! Look at the big picture...again, the act of doing, the love involved, the art involved, the acts of kindness involved, the learning and teaching of future generations that is involved. Not the precision, the color choice...bad or good..Quilting is the celebration of women (and men) who learn a craft to help themselves, to help others and to learn and pass on ideas and information from one generation to the next, working and finding time for a craft in this busy hectic complicated world...QUILTERS ARE TO ALL BE RESPECTED AND NOT CRITICIZED OVER SOMETHING SO SMALL HOW A BINDING IS DONE...
