I lived in California, LA, for most of 1984 and, happily, never epoerienced a quake. Felt the one Tuesday! Was at work, just north of Boston, when the office plants started to sway and I felt those long rolling waves. Interesting experience but I don't mind waitng another 40 yrs for one to hit again!
