Decided to take the risky route and add a stripe from my stash and use the darkest fabric as the binding. I'm really pleased with how it came out. The backing is from the same line as the border; it has a small gold print.

The size is 45x65. I wanted a slightly narrower and longer quilt to throw over my legs in the summer when my husband has the AC up too high. I had some Hobbs wool batting that I was saving for another quilt but I decided to cut into it and use it for this one. Quilting it was lovely. I'm going to try Dream Wool next but I think wool is now my preferred batting unless I want something really flat.

I took the pics outside so the colors are a bit washed out. I just wanted to get the picture taken and posted since we're going to have ugly weather this weekend.

Thank you all again for your suggestions and help. I am constanly amazed by the amount of talent on this board.
