I do not have the Reliable, but I have this one and LOVE it!

It is a Rowenta with a tank/boiler. It holds a quart of water and because of the tank being separate from the iron, your arm doesn't have to hold up the weight of the water. You do have to give it time to warm up....about 12 minutes. So the first thing I do when entering my sewing room is turn it on. Then I am ready to iron for a long time without having to refill the tank. It steams great! It only steams when you hit the trigger, so dry ironing is no problem either. I have had mine for 2 years now. It was a pricey purchase for me, but I was getting so tired of my irons getting knocked off onto the cement floor and then leaking and having to replace them, so I thought I would make the investment. I am very pleased. This unit sits on a tv tray/table right next to my ironing board. I bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond with a 20% coupon. I am not affiliated with Rowenta, just happy with my purchase.
