My nephew requested a patriotic quilt for his wife for her birthday on July 4th. I just recently got it back and now it needs the binding (no she did not get it by July 4th because he only gave me about 6 days notice). This is more of a summer quilt - it is very lightweight. It is entirely made from my stash. The white and red fabrics were Christmas fabric I had on hand. Red has sparkles and white has little bitty stars (and a few snowflakes but I thought it would work). The blue flower backing was left over from another quilt. It does not have the binding on yet. It is quilted with stars and the flag appears to be waving.
