The best quilting group I know of is Project Linus. I have learned so many tips and received so much inspiration from this group. We sometimes have men come and join, and if they don't sew, they tie, and we have the most fun making quilts for children ages newborn--18 years old. No one is critical--every quilt is valued and given with joy! Although I work full-time, and cannot attend the day time workshops, they meet once a month on Saturday and I'm blessed every time! I encourage you all to see if there is a Project Linus group near you. They make up their own kits with simple patterns, and I take one home, dig through my stash and make two--one for Project Linus and one as a gift. Fun, fun, fun!
