Here;'s my two cents worth ....

**one background fabric .... a nothing print, that has something Christmas in it.

**the dark parts, pick two .... one red, one green. both a darkish/bright colour (does that make sense?) -- and maybe with some metallic in them for the gltiz and glimmer of Christmas!

**the printed parts .... an assortment that plays off the other three fabrics


This is going to be one really nice Merry Christmas Birthday for your Mom!!

PS ...... have the nieces each make one of the squares!!! :)
