I just finished a 7 day cruise. I have to say that my Husband and I were disappointed in the excursions in Juneau and Ketchecan. The guides were young college kids who were doing it for the summer and could have cared less. In Juneau, we did the glacier and gardens. You can do the glacier on your own. My family members that went with us went on a bus from the port. In Sitka, we did the walking historic tour and had a great guide. Ketchecan was such a short time that I would have just walked around. It was very rainy and cold. Whatever you decide to do, remember to always wear comfortable shoes what you would wear during cold wet weather of winter. I wished that I had taken my hiking boots to keep my feet dry and warm.
