I, also, wanted a barn quilt but not something permanent. I had leftover sheet magnet and cut them into 4" squares and painted them 3 different colors. Now I can arrange them on the sheet metal pole building in different patterns. The shapes have to be simple due to the bumpy surface but it sure is fun.
