Well, I like the idea of a tote bag, but also like the idea of a round robin (actually you could do both using one block for each). The round robin, as someone suggested, could be just you if you don't belong to a guild or club of some sort. I agree that keeping with your same colors is a good idea and you probably have plenty of the fabric as you had planned on making a 12 block quilt.
