so, you planning a sheet? or linen?
sheets usually have higher thread counts than the cottons you normally use- they work ok when machine quilting are more difficult to hand quilt (like using batiks)
linen on the other hand has a looser weave-so hand quilts easily- but is a courser fabric- wears like steel- makes beautiful quilts- especially when teemed with other luxury fabrics-like linen/silk is fabulous! but very expensive.
