OHH Yes, I wash and dry new fabrics before I put them away in my stash. I don't want them to fade AFTER I make the quilt and it bleeds. I had a wine color just the other day from Hancock Fabric that bled all over, big time when I washed it. Rather be safe, than sorry::::
