This was well written. I do agree that dogs are lots of comfort
and quard us , give us simpathy when needed but after seeing
our last dog Tasha suffer her last days, having to carry her in and out for her needs and then seeing her put to her final rest
we can not do it again. Instead we share our daughter great
Malmute Husky who is a baby and a very gently dog. In our
elder years we need to take care of ourselves , and not have
others take care of extra.
We do have 2 cats and they keep us busy and comfort us.
