Check eBay if you want a Dyson. I sold mine there as I hated it. I prefer a vacuum with a bag, thank you! I had the original "Animal" but if I were going to buy one today I'd get the "ball". I found mine to be too big and clunky for the size of my home. It was heavy and hard to maneuver. When I tried to use that feature of taking off the hose so I could do things high up, the vacuum would fall over most of the time.
I've also replaced all my carpeting with laminate and a few area rugs so a lightweight canister that I picked up at Sears does the job just fine.
