this foot has the single hole..so if you move your needle to far, you could break the needle or worse, bend the shaft.

when you order/buy a foot for your machine, any machine, be sure to talk to a dealer..sew and vac shops usually sell attachments for machines that they sell. there are some great on-line shops that know what you need too..

Brubakers is one:

i took the black bar off one of my extra 1/4" feet.

there is a foot called :"Clearview Quilting Foot" and Guide Set

i also have the "Other little foot"
It's wider than "original little foot".

"1/4" right side of foot lets you stitch perfect 1/4" seams. Wider left side ensures foot covers both feed dogs on newer machines with wider set feed dogs. Fits all older models with a center needle position. Marks let you stop 1/4" from cut edge for perfect miter points."

Janome and others make a wider opening 1/4" foot.

For those of you who are new to your machine:Please know if your machine is Low shank/high shank/or you can use a snap on,when ordering online . if you don't know, ask here!
