You have my sympathies to this newest chapter in their lives. My son totaled two cars within a year or so, the first less than a month after getting his driver's license, driving in a heavy rain storm, hydroplaned around a curve and turned his Nova into a squirrel, I was not thrilled. Then the following winter hit a patch of black ice at the other end of that street. on another curve aqnd hit another tree. I tried to tell him that trees do not move and to give his guardian angel a rest, as he was working overtime and needed a break. At least he learned some valuable lessons that winter, on how not to drive on black ice He learned, but I was a wreck for a while after that.
