Now that is an interesting idea! How would you do it?
Would it be a big flatish triangle, or a spiral?
I was thinking of starting with a little single square for 1. and drawing it out on graph paper using a different color for each number. Talk about thinking outside of the box!

I have two basic ideas....one is a series of strips, 2 1" (finished) strips next to each other, a 2" strip on either side...3" strip on either side of that etc, then cross it with the same series so i'd end up with a series of blocks radiating out from the center. The other idea i had was to use square of the correct sizes and arrange them into a block that could then be quilted in a spiral pattern. I think about this stuff waaay too much. *LOL*
