I agree "narrowish" is a word!! lol...
Well, I went with using matching or close to it thread for each piece of the applique parts...I have sashed it with the plaid, NOT on the bias...and actually it looks straight to me...I actually cut all the sashing strips the same width by using the same color of line on each one, and when I attached it, I used one of the colored lines as the guide, and it was very close to 1/4" at that! I have it all sashed, and border on using the plaid, will post an updated pic on new topic, as this one is so long...now trying to decide if I want another border around, or leave well enough alone!!...
