OMG...that made me laugh...but sadly you are right. This drought we are having here in Texas sure has just about done away with cotton crops for this year unless their irrigated.
And thanks to everyone for your kind comments. I seldom go strickly by the pattern...well,.. come to think about it I think I've only followed a pattern from start to finish, once or twice. But at least it makes my quilts unique. And for those that don't...give it a try...I went to a class once and the instructor focused on that very thing. She suggested things like adding sashing between blocks if it wasn't in the pattern or even leaving out sashing if it is in the pattern, add a border, take away a border. You can do so many little things to change it up to make it your own. Try it,...it's fun.
