I use the fine lead mechanical pencil on light fabrics...on darker fabrics I use my old chalk wheel...the one with the tiny serrated teeth. I have them in blue, yellow, pink and white. I've had them for over 20 years (they were very cheap way back when) and for once I had the foresight to buy extra powder refills.
