I have seen the way I do it on some of the quilting TV shows. You overlap the batting and cut with a rotary cutter so that the edge is straight on both pieces. That way your batting should lay perfectly cut edge to cut edge. Then I use the light weight fusible interfacing (Cut into 2 to 3 inch strips) and then fuse with an iron. You can fuse both sides. I use it when I have accidentally cut the batting too short. Of course, you can ONLY use this method with cotton batting !!!
