I have a Singer and when mine does that it is because there is drag on the quilt so it can't feed through. I can't have any weight dragging on the quilt.
I know there is no drag cause it happenes with a 12x12 sandwich of muslim on both sides of batting. I'm really thinking I'd better try a Brother walking foot.
