Thanks for giving me an opportunity to vent. My favorite quilt store owner had some manufacturer's patterns featuring a line of children's quilt fabrics. Bought the recommended fabrics only to discover when cutting and sewing that the featured fabric squares showing the animal faces could not be cut from the panel -- faces were too small for the block illustrated. Had to go back (40 mile round trip) for something that could be used as a border around each of the five animal faces. Sounds like a very small problem, but with gasoline prices so high the cost of making Linus quilts is a consideration. Easy project turned out to be a little disappointing. Will design my own from now on.
