LOL, I also have a big mouth - but I have a big heart also and would have felt really bad if I didn't say something. Hopefully the lady another kind of coordinating fabric in her stash or was able to do something else that made the curtains work for her.

I would have felt really bad about allowing her to go home without enough fabric. Money not well spent.

I sewed a dress for a woman 50 years ago. Her friend had cut it out and never sewed it so she hired me. The cutter had not cut enough for a skirt only a front or a back -- 3 of 6 gores. I tried to explain it to her and she could not understand. Kept saying, 'it's all there!" I finally asked her if she wanted her front or her back covered and put it together. Of course, she could wear the dress and there was no matching fabric to be had. I learned not to try to finish another's project. There is a reason the first person quit.

I don't think this woman was a sewer. Hopefully, she'll find someone to help her add headers and hems and some extra inches.
