I think you are definately on the right track. I would do all the strips in the order you have them. light to dark. I wouldn't add more dark. It looks great! Love your cork idea. I'm going to try it! Can't wait to see how it turns out. Cute!
Thanks! The cork works so well taking the sand dots off my other cutting rulers.

First time using my new vintage 66, WOW! Once I got the tension right what a beautiful stitch! I'm stoked that I found this at goodwill. Still need to get a manual but is my 5th machine, 2nd vintage one and have a featherweight manual for attachments.
