when you thread the mach, if the last thread guid is to the rigt if the needlr the flat side faces in If the last guide is in the front the flat side if the needle go to the back. if their is thread on the outer part of the bobbin it will hold the bobbin make sure the bobbin is clean on outter sides put a touch of oil on some cloth and wipe the outer bobbin lightly
