Hmmm, You could be more creative with 12" but if they were put into quilts 9"s would make for a more interesting quilt.
I guess I'm leaning toward the 12." What does everyone else think?
I won't be in the swap so I don't care. What I make will end up as a pillow most likely and the block itself will be about 16"
