I'm trying to decide which batting would work best for my wallhanging. It is approximately 28" square. There will not be alot of quilting on it. Stitch in the ditch around the border HSTs, just some straight lines in the borders, and maybe some pebbles or swirls around the spools and the applique. Each block is about 6".

I'm thinking about trying a poly batting. I would like the final product to have nice stitch definition but still be lightweight, resist creasing (it might not be hung up for a long time) and flat. I've never worked with polyester before so I'm not sure how ti would work. The fabric is not prewashed.

I also have Warm n Natural and wool batting on hand. I would need to purchase the poly. Any advice, suggestions or tips?
