I love it! I also love ballooning! can't wait until our festival next month, I crew every year. Been trying to figure how to make a balloon quilt for awhile now. It just never looks right!
I could send you a few hundred pics, but I guess you could just as easily google a few thousand LOL!! My avatar was made from a pic taken of us in the balloon 7th Heaven while we were flying low over a carrot field one beautiful morning in our North County. I added a pond, a couple hills, a barb wire fence around the plowed field, some embroidery, and thread-painted red-winged blackbirds and gondola. The balloon is rip-stop nylon, and the pennants are 3-D, and the crown line is button twine, also 3-D.
Choose a pic you like and just do it! I had a total ball making mine and thinking up ways to improve and embellish it!
