Hi Everyone,
I now have a new to me embroidery machine, yay! Before having one, I never really paid too much attention to how us quilters are using embroidery designs in our quilts. Well now I can, so I was wondering if anyone here would like to share some of the things they do.
For instance, last month I found a new BOM that incorporates embroidery by stitching out words on block backgrounds around the center of the quilt. I was so enamored with the pattern, that I asked a local quilter and machine embroiderer what she would charge to stitch these words out for me. She ended up selling me my new machine! :shock: How's that for a reply/sales pitch? :lol:

So, now I'm wanting to learn all I can about my new machine, but especially how I can use it in conjunction with my quilting. What kinds of patterns and/or projects would you suggest? I'm especially interested in small gifts that I can make for Christmas at this point.
