Keep at it! You sure chose a challenging block for a new quilter. Your Figure 1 blocks look good, but the figure 2 block should be symetric. It should either have the same amount of white on either side of the point, or all 4 pieces should meet in the point with no white sticking out.
When you cut the B pieces, you did reverse half of them to get mirror images?
