It is a beautiful area. Banff and Lake Louise are touristy but gorgeous. We stayed at a B&B in Banff (Wit's End)and loved all the little shops in town. At Lake Louise we stayed at the Fairmont Chateu..just gorgeous. The only zip line in Canada that I know of is at Whistler (Vancouver area). Have a wonderful time. At the end of September we always see snow when we travel to the Calgary area. Check out the Calgary Tower, all the chocolatiers in the area are fun to visit. For a short visit a bus tour is always a good thing to learn a little history and at least get a look/see of lots of places.
