Ladies, tell you what, I was trying to write a reply to Highmtn that got very long-winded, paused and came back to find that you want some pictures. Instead of the long-winded explanation, I will see if I can work on it this week and come up with some pictures and instructions.
I try to do all the beading last because it is difficult to go back to the machine and sew if you have beads already attached. And there is a lot of handwork in my pieces. I like hand embroidery and mix whatever I want together. I don't really follow a lot of rules. I embroider with batting already added - supposedly a big no-no because of the cotton fuzz. But I like the stability it gives to the hand embroidery. And I mix machine stitching and handwork without worrying about the quilting police. Sometimes the machine stitching lines are helpful for spacing and neatness. I am more concerned about the appearance and neatness than protocol.
I guess you have given me some homework for the week :-D :-D :-D
