Same here.
Believe me, this child will never forget the kindness you are extending. The child in me still feels the pain of exclusion and teasing. I am in my 60's now and it tickles me that age seems to be the great equalizer for most of those that took part in bullying and teasing. I see current pictures of former classmates that were once the cheerleaders and those that considered themselves among the beautiful people and they are overweight, old, and wrinkled just like I am. Unfortunately, that won't help this young lady's sense of self esteem or self worth but having someone see your value and beauty and acknowledge that may be a life saver for her. It will be something she can literally hold on to. God bless you for doing this. She won't forget it. Ann in TN
