While in Memphis visiting with my daughter, I got the chance to go to their fair. After checking out their various crafty items, lunching on typical fair food, and wandering through the mob of fairgoers, I happened to stumble upon their crafty and quilt exhibit. I had almost given up on their having the old fashioned competitions of hand made items. Well, this one lady had almost a dozen quilts that she had made and entered. They were wonderful!! I have wondered if she belongs to this board. If so, Patty H., you are a very talented quilter. She had more quilts there than anyone else, of course. She must be a full time quilter to have completed so many. I really enjoyed looking and would have loved to have met her. That's what the old county fairs mean to me....seeing all the handmade items that people are still making. Loved it!!
