Welcome from Florida. I used to live in VA. I'm retired now and also a Grandma, and I've sewen just about everything in my lifetime, from wedding dresses to mens' coats to baby clothes and for myself. But just got the quilting thing started less than a year ago. I made a beautiful king size "rail fence" quilt for my daughter, an appliqued wall hanging, a patriotic quilt, and also lap quilts that I donate to nursing home residents. I'm working on a beautiful "cathedral window" quilt now which I will keep. Many ideas are just swimming in my head for future quilts. I have definitely caught the "quilting bug". Good luck to you.
