What do you mean put a piece of tape over the hole in the plate? I'm curious now. I have eaten a few corners in my life although I'm starting to get in to the habit of starters and enders for an eventual quilt or something. I'm getting a lot of half square triangles made lol.
Just put a very small piece of tape over the hole that you needle go into. It works great.
