May I make a suggestion on trying a new batting? I like Dream Cotton or Hobbs 80/20 for the nice flat look, but a friend suggested a Wool batting for a quilt I was making for competition. I do not like the puffy look of it after it was completed (I think a poly batting is also puffy). I wish I would have tried the Wool batting on either a much smaller project or a charity quilt before I committed to it on my competition quilt. Your quilt is very nice. I like the way it is quilted and also how nice and flat it lays.
