I have 8 or 10 different types of darning/embroidery feet, from a little $3 plastic and metal foot to the $40 Juki foot on my industrial machine to the $85 vintage embroidery foot for my 401. I have the Big Foot, a "stripping" foot that was made for only some brands of the old Singers, a couple of vintage feet, and a few modern feet.

So which one do I use? It's the little $3.00 foot. I thought it would break right away and that I'd have to replace it every other quilt or so, so I bought several. So far, I'm still on the same foot. It's like the Energizer Bunny for longevity. Great visibility and only the slight inconvenience of the closed toe loop.

Sew-Classic.com carries them: http://shop.sew-classic.com/Low-Shan...t-SCF55417.htm Honest, you can't beat this little nothing looking foot. :)
