I was at a computer training session at another school. The Principal let us know that something had happened in NY and the tv reception was out (and, of course, the computers). We had no way of knowing if the events were connected or if we were having a local problem. After a bit I went to the office and requested use of the phone. I was speaking to my husband (we live in a different town), who was watching the coverage, when the first tower came down. I went back to the group and told them what had taken place. They said they knew from my face that the news would be horrible. And then, the Pentagon and flight 93.

That afternoon and evening I watched the tragedy re-played over and over, trying to comprehend the scope of horror and heroism.
