Your most important tool is your imagination, as the others have said, all the other things, buy as you need, I think your best investment would be a good basic Book on quilting. I bought the Big Book On Quilting, several years ago and it stays on my cutting table for referrence. I'm not a gadget person, I'd rather buy fabric. Some of the things I do are labor intensive, but it works for me and the result is alway good, so I don't fix it, if it ain't broke. You will find the right niche for U, and what you can make do with. When you get frustrated, go have a cup of tea, And remeber QUILTING started out as a nessecity, and to make do with what you have. Stick to your basics, and you will be surprised where it will lead you. And HAVE FUN.
