Use Christmas cookie cutters to cut out the crazy quilt ornaments mentioned above. Use a muslin backing, sew odd shaped scraps onto it. Make a piece about 20" x 20" or size easy for you to handle. :( I love your whole idea...except the pre-programmed stitches....I have the most basic machine EVER and I'm dying for a new machine!! Hubby says I don't sew enough to constitute a new machine, can't afford one anyways, but I've had my eye on this Brother machine in Wal-mart for months, $400 and has I think 75 stitches and fully digital.......somday!
