i saw this quilt on ebay or at least one like it. the pattern is easy to duplicate. the strips appear to be 2.5" unfinished, 2" finished. there are 16 blocks in this quilt. looking at the border strips, start with the purple/black (inside square) and end with the lighter purple (outside stripe), you would make 8 blocks. the other 8 blocks are made opposite, start with the lighter purple (inside square) and end with the purple/black as outside strip. this is similar to a log cabin block strip pattern.

once your 16 blocks are made, you would cut them in half diagonally and pair opposite halves together, sew & make new blocks. lay the blocks out per the quilt block layout and add your borders. presto you have this quilt.

the blocks in this quilt are netting out (by my calculations per stated quilt size 67x67)to about 11.25"-11.5" which means 2.5" about strips were used to make the blocks.

try using some practice fabric to make two strip blocks, cut them and remake the new block. the rest would be easy to do.

this purple quilt is really striking in its simplicity. if it is the one from ebay, the seller does good work with her patterns. i like her chasing goose quilt and will make something similar. when you get a chance, take a look at some of her other quilts.
