It's sad when we do not get the love we want from anyone, especially in-laws and grandchildren. My heart goes out to all of you who feel unhappy. One thing we can all do is open communication with our grandchildren. I send stickers, little notes, and paper snowflakes to my grandchildren all of the time. Usually I even put a quarter, taped onto a drawing of a flower, in the middle as the "face" or something like that. I don't wait for a thank you. I don't wait for any response back. I just send my love in an envelope. Believe me, that love will open your heart even more than it is, and those grandchildren will always remember your kindness. Keep as much sunshine in your heart as possible. It makes for better times.
