I can't help with quantities as I just cut a pile of 2" squares and 4" squares in a mix of darks and lights and starting sewing them into 4 patches and HST's.

Each 4 patch - 4, 2" squares = 1 - 3.5" incl. seams
Each HST - 2, 4" squares = 2 HST's - 3.5" incl. seams

Each block takes:

3 - 4 patches and 6 HST's

Finished block size 9"

So you can work out how many 2" squares and 4" squares you need to make the quilt the size you require.

Of course you can do your squares bigger which will make the quilt grow faster!
