Before retirement, I made sure that I had my sewing machine, embroidery and serger that I wanted so I could just sit back and SEW till my heart was content.
I know there are lots of update machines with all the bells and whistles but I'm not going to go pro so I don't really need them. I did finally get my Grace quilt frame afterwards and I may consider buying a really long arm if finances get lots better. But I can live without it and my 9" Janome does a pretty good job.
