My DD and SIL are in Canada and we skype all the time. It's great. I get to see them frequently, in real time, and share all the little things that you tend to miss when you're separated by miles; the new haircuts, the boo-boo from their first gardening attempt; the first peeled-paint-off-the-cabinet from their first canning attempt; the landscaping in progress, the interior decorating in progress. There's been a few times where we've spent hours on Skype - them painting and me quilting. We open Christmas presents together, have birthday parties together...
